A new breakfast/lunch spot has claimed a space in the Bentonville Plaza at 609 S.W. Eighth St. in Bentonville.

The IDK? Café serves eclectic cuisine with a focus on farm-to-table dishes. Specialties include the Mediterranean scrambler for breakfast and an apple orchard Panini, which pairs sliced turkey with apples and apple butter. Owner Justin Eaton calls it classic with a twist.

The restaurant, open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., rang in $6,500 in sales its first week (it opened July 28), and business has been steadily increasing since then, Eaton said.

Eaton has signed a one-year lease on the property but says he plans to stay much longer. He hopes to expand across the region, but intends to take it slow.

“We haven’t done a lot of advertising,” he said. “We’re just getting our feet wet.”

IDK? Café recently rolled out its limited delivery and catering service, and Eaton said that aspect of the business has picked up sales. The restaurant currently delivers within Bentonville Plaza and to the neighboring home office of Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

IDK? Café has 14 employees, including a catering crew.
