Fort Smith Employment Agency Launches 100 Jobs in 100 Days

WorkFortSmith, an organization started by Go Ye Employment Services Inc. of Fort Smith, aims to put 100 individuals to work before October 1.

The organization kicked off its “100 Jobs in 100 Days” campaign June 23, along with the relaunch of its website, www.workfortsmith.org.

The site offers free, no-contract job postings for locally based companies of all sizes, said Miles Crawford, CEO of Go Ye Employment.

WorkFortSmith was started in 2011 and has listed thousands of jobs since its inception, Crawford said. He hopes the 100 Jobs campaign will act as a springboard for the organization, raising its profile in the Fort Smith region and sustaining long-term interest in the initiative.

“We are optimistic that we will meet the goal,” Crawford said. “I have it on good-faith from some of the larger companies that they will be expanding during that timeframe.”

But the future of the website, he added, also depends on the area’s small businesses listing with WorkFortSmith when they have an open position.
