Baptist Health Names LR Campus For Retired CEO Harrington
Baptist Health named its west Little Rock campus after its recently-retired CEO Russ Harrington, who spent 40 years with the health care organization.
The Little Rock hospital campus will be called the Russell D. Harrington, Jr. Campus.
“It has been an honor to be a part of this healing ministry and be able to serve the healthcare needs of our state for 40 years,” said Harrington, who retired at the end of June. “I am proud of the success we were able to achieve as an organization and consider it a privilege to have had the opportunity to work with so many skilled physicians, dedicated caregivers, and committed staff.”
Harrington will continue to serve Baptist Health in the role of president emeritus and senior advisor.
Troy Wells was named by the organization’s board of trustees as the new president and CEO upon Harrington’s retirement on July 1.
Baptist Health’s board of trustees also announced other promotions to Baptist Health’s executive team following Harrington’s retirement. Doug Weeks is now executive vice-president and chief operating officer, and Bob Roberts is executive vice-president and chief financial officer.
