The Beehive at The Learning Fields Sept. Saturdays’ 2014
This River Valley Master Gardener Association project, 'The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing" is directed by the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Services, is used for educational gardens and services. The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing is a registered 501c3- non-profit corporation and a horticultural educational adventure to present knowledge and ideas concerning every facet of the plant world from sprout to seed, and of course the part of most interest from my point and duties, Pollination. In 1989 the National Honey board and the U.S. Department of Agriculture worked together to officially deem the month that most of the honey is harvested in the U.S. (September) as National Honey Month. Considering the fact that the honey bee is the official state insect, a proclamation will be made designating the month of September as Honeybee Month in the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas. And The Beehive at, The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing named as the Honeybees of this proclamation, on September 6th.2014. An invitation to celebrate this Event and Festival with " The Learning Fields at Chaffee Crossing, located at 7300 Gardener Ave. Fort Smith, Arkansas. 72913. on the 1st & 2nd Saturdays of September, 2014" . This September Saturdays' Support Campaign for Honeybee and Pollinators will offer a festival type atmosphere with fun, games, free gifts and information, snacks and treats, classes, seminars and demonstrations, all family oriented.
