Bentonville design agency Taylor Boswell is shifting its operations eastward toward the city’s downtown core.

The four-year old company, which specializes in 3D design and 3D printing services for supplier and manufacturing companies, has moved its headquarters from the Raintree Business Center on South Walton Boulevard to the first floor of an office building at 300 S.W. Sixth St. at the corner of Southwest B and Southwest Sixth streets.

The company has expanded its capabilities to include in-house 3D printing and 3D modeling for virtual store planning. The company has offered 3D printing service to its clients before, but it was outsourced.

Will Boswell, CEO, said the in-house service will mean clients get 3D printed objects quicker and cheaper.

“We’ve been planning to do this for a while,” Boswell said.

As for the 3D virtual store planning, Boswell said the firm is already working with clients utilizing the new technology.

Boswell formed Taylor Boswell Ltd. in 2010 in Great Britain. He lived in Northwest Arkansas previously from 2001 to 2008, working as the art director for New Creature in Rogers and an associate creative director for Saatchi & Saatchi X in Springdale.

He returned to London in 2008 and worked there as head of design for Saatchi before starting TBL two years later.

He said he made the decision to relocate to Bentonville in the third quarter of 2012 because of the area’s worldwide reputation as the undisputed center of mass-market retail.

Without revealing specific information, Boswell — whose agency began as a one-man shop — said the company more than doubled its sales target for 2013 and now has seven employees.
