Springdale Chamber Launches Ignite Springdale to Increase Jobs, Pride
The Springdale Chamber of Commerce announced June 17 its Ignite Springdale initiative, a three-year campaign aimed at creating more than 3,700 jobs.
Ignite Springdale, a $2.6-million program funded by local companies, is divided into four initiatives: technology, retention and expansion, workforce training, and civic pride.
For technology, the goal is to land six new tech businesses. In retention and expansion, the chamber is trying to garner at least 15 manufacturing expansions and/or relocations. For workforce training, the goal, among others, is to complete a community workforce skills assessment. And for civic pride, the chamber has promised to try and make Springdale a hometown choice for professionals moving to the area.
According to the chamber, the initiative, if it is fulfilled, would create over $200 million in total payroll.
