Two NWA Companies Win BBB Ethics Awards
Arvest Bank of Fayetteville and Bud Anderson Heating and Cooling of Lowell recently were chosen by the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas as honorees for the 2014 Torch Awards for Ethics.
Honorees were chosen by an independent panel of judges who looked at companies throughout the state, examining company practices in how they engage with customers, employees, suppliers and the communities in which they do business. The awards were given out in a ceremony May 8.
Bud Anderson general manager and owner Tim Paetz gives credit to his staff for earning the award. “To all of our employees who have worked hard for the past 10 years or seven years or whatever, it’s nice to have one day to stand up get recognition for all they do for our consumers,” he said.
Lisa Ray, Arvest-Springdale branch president, said in an Arvest news release that although the award is an honor, recognition is not the reason Arvest does business in an ethical way. “We strive every day to do the right things and to do them the right way,” she said. “In our associate training it’s simply called ‘The Do Right Rule,’ and doing right means focusing on our customers’ needs and investing back into our communities.”
