Ross Outpaces Hutchinson In Fundraising (UPDATED)
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mike Ross outpaced his potential Republican general election opponent Asa Hutchinson in the most recent fundraising period.
Candidates for primary-contested state offices must file 10-day pre-election reports in advance of the May 20 primaries.
Ross, who faces Democratic challenger Lynette Bryant, raised roughly $491,000 from April 1 to May 10. He finished the reporting period with a combined $1.997 million in cash-on-hand for the primary and general elections.
Hutchinson, who faces Republican challenger Curtis Coleman, raised approximately $249,000 during the period and reported $893,000 cash on hand as of May 10.
The Secretary of State’s web site did not show a Bryant 10-day report on file. Coleman reported raising $62,000 during the period and had cash-on-hand of $5,883.
Hutchinson and Ross are the front-runners for their party nominations.
