Pryor Highlights Cotton Votes On Medicare
On the day that Sen. Mark Pryor received an endorsement from a national Social Security and Medicare protection group, the incumbent Democrat released a new TV ad highlighting his Republican challenger Cong. Tom Cotton’s votes on Medicare.
Pryor was endorsed by the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare (NCPSSM), touted as the nation’s second-largest grassroots senior advocacy organization. The NCPSSM says it has over 19,000 members in Arkansas.
NCPSSM president Max Richtman praised Pryor’s record on Medicare and Social Security and criticized Cotton’s votes to raise the eligibility age to 70 and said Cotton’s votes would create “a voucher system” on the entitlement program.
The TV ad released today, titled “Cuts,” says Cotton’s record would “jeopardize” the retirement of seniors.
