GOP gubernatorial candidate Asa Hutchinson is airing a new TV ad that began in broadcast markets last week.

The ad, titled “Arkansas Common Sense,” features Hutchinson saying he’ll stand up to “Washington liberals like President Obama and Nancy Pelosi.”

In the commercial, Hutchinson says he’ll fight for tax cuts, defend the sanctity of life, and supports the Second Amendment.

“And Obamacare? I’ve always opposed it, always will,” the candidate says.

Hutchinson faces Curtis Coleman in the GOP primary on May 20. The winner of the primary will face either Democrat Mike Ross or Lynette Bryant in the general election. Libertarian Frank Gilbert and Green Party candidate Joshua Drake have also qualified for the November election.

In a Talk Business-Hendrix College Poll released this week, Hutchinson and Ross were in a virtual dead heat, with Ross leading 44-43% over Hutchinson among 1,068 likely voters.
