Carol Dickie: An Artist’s Journey
Come by and see the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum’s newest exhibit, Carol Dickie: An Artist’s Journey. This exhibition is a retrospective of a Eureka Springs based artist, Carol Dickie and will showcase more than 30 works spanning from her early years as a budding artist until present day. Dickie began painting full-time ten years ago and in this short period has pushed the boundaries of painting and exploration in various media. A self-described “abstract naturalistic” painter, Dickie utilizes watercolor, gouache, acrylic, casein, charcoal and pastel on heavy paper or board, Masonite and Clayboard.
Carol Dickie: An Artist’s Journey will be on display at the museum from May 9 – August 10, 2014. Admission is free for everyone, and we are open Tuesday-Saturday from 11am- 6pm and Sunday from 1pm-5pm.
