Mulberry Edamame Festival
The City of Mulberry is hosting its first Edamame Festival! It is a one-day event being held in an effort to promote edamame – its uses, its health benefits, and its positive impact on Arkansas. This event will be held rain or shine on March 29, 2014 at the Mulberry City Park from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.
In addition to several food and craft/product vendors, the festival will have many family oriented activities including a bounce around and giant slide for the kids. Other activities will consist of helicopter tours at $25 per person, mechanical bull rides at $5 per person, an antique car show, antique tractor show, disc golf tournament, and beauty pageant. A main attraction of the event will be the "edamame experience" featuring several different edamame recipes available for tasting. Some of the festival’s other vendors will include the Daisy BB Gun trailer, Boy Scouts Troop 39, Thirty-One Gifts, and Seth Wynne’s BBQ & Fish. Bill Rogers & Band will provide entertainment. There will be free admission and free parking for the festival. For more information, including information on vendors and tournament entry, check out Mulberry City Limits on Facebook, or contact the mayor’s office at 479.997.1321 or [email protected]. For more information about the beauty pageant, contact Creena Bocksnick at Mulberry High School 479.997.1363 or [email protected] – all proceeds from the pageant benefit the Mulberry-Pleasant View FFA.
