Goodwill Industries of Arkansas is opening an eighth location in Northwest Arkansas, at 1001 S. Mount Olive St. at a leased space in the Highland Park Shopping Center in Siloam Springs.

The new store, donation and career services center is scheduled to open March 6. The Siloam Springs location is the 36th Goodwill outlet in the state.

“Goodwill continues to expand in Northwest Arkansas because we want to make it as convenient as possible for people to be able to shop and donate with us,” said Brian Itzkowitz, Goodwill’s president and CEO.

In January 2013, the Little Rock-based nonprofit organization bought the Interiors Galleria building at 4301 Pleasant Crossing Parkway in Rogers for $2.65 million and converted the space into a store, donation and career services center.

Goodwill also operates two stores and one donation center in Fayetteville, one store in Springdale and Bentonville and a donation center in Bella Vista.

The Siloam Springs location will feature a career services center, where people can access training, education and employment assistance, all at no cost. Services include resume preparation and basic interview skills training.

Last year, through its career services division, Goodwill served 2,605 people in Northwest Arkansas and placed 675 individuals into competitive employment.
