Asa Hutchinson Reveals First TV Ad
GOP gubernatorial frontrunner Asa Hutchinson has revealed his first TV ad of the 2014 campaign.
Titled “Arkansas Values and Arkansas Common Sense,” the ad features Hutchinson and his wife, Susan, recalling their courtship and the candidate’s ability to listen, lead and serve.
“Asa is true to his word. He’s not afraid to listen to the other side, in fact, he wants to hear the other side,” his wife says.
The ad ends with Hutchinson in the woods, while his wife notes he will serve with “Arkansas values and Arkansas common sense.”
Hutchinson faces GOP challenger Curtis Coleman of North Little Rock in the May primary. The winner will likely face Democrat Mike Ross, who fielded a primary opponent in Lynnette Bryant on Friday afternoon.
According to Hutchinson’s campaign manager, Jon Gilmore, the TV ad will start as a cable buy across parts of Arkansas this week. During the next few weeks, Gilmore said the ad will increase in rotation and distribution into “a significant statewide buy.”
