Tolbert: 16 State Legislators Endorse Sterling For Attorney General
David Sterling”s campaign for Attorney General got a boost Monday (March 24) with the endorsement of 16 Republican state legislators from both chambers – 13 House members and 3 State Senators.
The names include some of the more conservative-leaning lawmakers, but also includes names on both sides of the hotly-contested private option debate.
Those endorsing Sterling are:

Sen. Jeremy Hutchinson – SD 33
Sen. Gary Stubblefield – SD 6
“I’m honored to have the support of so many great Republican legislators,” Sterling said. “This is a very diverse, statewide group that recognizes we need a true conservative who has the experience to do the job,” remarked Sterling.
“David Sterling is the one we need for Attorney General,” said Rep. Charlotte Douglas. “David is 100% pro-life. He is pro-gun and anti-Obamacare,” Douglas said.
“I know David Sterling will fight back against the overreaching federal government and that’s what we need right now,” said Sen. Gary Stubblefield.
Sterling faces a three-way primary for the Republican nomination against former RNC attorney Leslie Rutledge and central Arkansas attorney Patricia Nation. All three candidates appeared together today on KARN”s Dave Elswick show for an informal debate.
The winner of the primary will face Democratic Rep. Nate Steel in the general election
