Legacy National Bank to Build New Banking Center in Rogers
Legacy National Bank of Springdale is planning a new banking center in the growing Pinnacle Heights area of Rogers.
According to a deed filed Jan. 31 at the Benton County Courthouse, LNB paid Johnelle Hunt $878,169 for 1.12 acres at the northwest corner of J.B. Hunt Drive and Pauline Whitaker Parkway, just west of Chuy’s restaurant.
Bank president and CEO Don Gibson said Feb. 3 the new banking center will replace the bank’s current Rogers location at 5415 Pinnacle Point Drive, which opened in 2007 as a loan production office. The 4,000-SF site was formerly the Market at Pinnacle Point, a now-defunct gourmet grocery store.
No timetable has been set for construction of the new center, but Gibson said it would be sooner rather than later.
“We’d like to get this going as soon as we can,” he said. “We have done some initial work and we’re pretty close to naming a contractor and getting started. We’re very excited.”
Gibson said Fayetteville architectural firm Ken Shireman & Associates is working on the building design, which will be similar to the bank’s new 6,000-SF banking center on Joyce Boulevard in Fayetteville that opened last summer.
LNB, established in 2005, has five bank locations — three in Springdale and one each on Rogers and Fayetteville.
As of Sept. 30, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., LNB had assets totaling $266.6 million and deposits totaling $221.7 million.
