Hobbs Celebrates Aldo Leopold
Join staff, volunteers, and friends as we celebrate the amazing work of naturalist Aldo Leopold, author of A Sand County Almanac. Special guests will read essays from his famous book throughout the day. A highlight of the event will be the showing of the film, “Green Fire.” Participate in live songbird research demonstration, nature walks, nature writing, special presentations, children’s activities, and much more!
Location: Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area’s visitor center on U.S. Hwy 12 just east of the Hwy 12/War Eagle Road intersection.
Cost: FREE The public is cordially invited to partake in these activities, including sitting in on some or all of the readings of the of the Sand County Almanac.
