First Bank Completes Acquisition of Crawford County Lender

First Bank, headquartered in the south Arkansas town of Hampton, has completed its acquisition of First Community Bank of Crawford County, headquartered in Van Buren.

According to a report Tuesday in the Southwest Times Record of Fort Smith, total assets of the merged bank are more than $300 million with FCB locations in Van Buren and Alma joining existing First Bank locations in Rogers, Siloam Springs, Camden, Hampton and Junction City.

Terry Carson is now market president for Crawford County.

First Bank opened in 1907 in Harrell as Calhoun County Bank. The bank changed its name to First Bank in 2010.
