Forty Under 40: Kellie Holmes
Kellie Holmes’ role as a vice president and credit analyst manager is not only critical to loan operations at Legacy National Bank, she is also founder of the bank’s “Legacy in the Community” outreach, which began in 2012.
Legacy Bank’s involvement in the community now includes a partnership with Lee Elementary School in Springdale, where bank employees read to students, work in the mobile library, and teach a Banking 101 course for parents of students whose first language isn't English.
Holmes said she particularly enjoys being involved in the development and training of the analysts who work for her at the bank.
“I love the people of Legacy and what they stand for. I definitely think banking is my niche and there is a huge opportunity for growth here,” Holmes said. “They trust the quality of my work and the underwriting I do.”
A Fort Smith native, Holmes graduated from National University in San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She worked seven years for California Bank and Trust before returning to Arkansas in 2007 and taking a position with Legacy. She finished the Springdale Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Springdale program in 2012.
She is married and participates in Rotary, the Christopher House at First United Methodist Church and teaches fitness at World Gym.
