Forty Under 40: Jason Flores
Jason Flores caused a stir in his industry by passing all three levels of examination as a certified financial analyst, on first attempts, within 18 months.
Flores now works as a wealth adviser for First Security Bank, managing portfolios for clients in Washington and Benton counties.
Flores credits his four years in the U.S. Army with helping to hone his sense of personal discipline — a key to success.
“Everyone has desires and dreams, but discipline is key — doing the hard things, the little things. People who are truly successful in obtaining their goals have all three of those [qualities],” Flores said. “I was always interested in investing and planning for the future, so I’ve continued to ask myself what I can do to differentiate myself in the investment industry.”
Flores was born in California, but moved to Arkansas as a child. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a communications degree. He is considering an MBA to complement his skills and accomplishments.
He enjoys riding motorcycles and reading and is an aquarium hobbyist, but most of his personal time is spent with his wife and child. He is involved in Rotary and is an ambassador with the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce.
