Forty Under 40: Jason Bramlett
Jason Bramlett believes a successful legal career, in a world now overcrowded with law graduates, requires one to choose a specialty.
Bramlett created a niche for himself in bankruptcy law. It fit nicely with his undergraduate degree in accounting, and turned out to be something he truly enjoys.
To him, it’s like putting a puzzle together. “I take a significant amount of pride in what I do,” he said.
He learned this sort of gratification in his work from his grandfather, a cabinet maker from Johnson. Although Bramlett said he did not inherit his craftsmanship, he always admired the way the man ran his business, and Bramlett considers him his most influential role model.
Bramlett has also learned a lot from other lawyers.
He worked for several years at a law firm in Dallas, and the attorneys he worked with helped shape how he approaches cases to this day, he said. “I learned it’s more about achieving your clients’ goals and not arguing every issue.”
Because of this, his time in Dallas was important, but moving back home to Northwest Arkansas in 2005 was the defining moment in his career.
“I never thought it would happen,” he said, but Bramlett has been with Friday, Eldredge & Clark LLP ever since.
Bramlett and his wife have three children, and, in his free time, he enjoys hunting and cycling.
