Justice Karen Baker Seeking Re-election
Arkansas Supreme Court Justice Karen Baker said she will seek re-election to a full term on the state’s highest court.
Baker was first elected in 2010 to fill the remaining term of the seat vacated by retiring Justice Annabelle Clinton Imber. Baker defeated Judge Tim Fox and Evelyn Moorehead to win the seat.
“I consider it a privilege to serve the citizens of the State of Arkansas and wish to continue on the court of last resort for all Arkansans,” Baker said.
Prior to her election to the Supreme Court in 2010, Baker served as Circuit and Juvenile Judge in the 20th Judicial District for five years, and she served at the Arkansas Court of Appeals for ten years. Baker also serves as the Supreme Court Liaison to the Board of Law Examiners, the Continuing Legal Education Board, and the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program.
She lives in Clinton with her husband, David Hogue, and their three children.
