Little Rock-based Baldwin & Shell Construction Co., a 68-year old construction firm and one of the largest in the state, announced changes in leadership and several promotions throughout its divisions.

Scott Copas, new President and CEO, said, “We are mindful and proud of our achievements over the last 68 years and the many people that have helped mold the core standards and values of service to our clients. We also realize that building construction has evolved into a highly technical operation relying on strategic planning, engineering, technology and advanced equipment and tools to meet the tight budgets and constricted time frames that our clients expect. Therefore, the logistics of a project and, more importantly, the people that manage these logistics determine its success and ultimately the success of our company.

“For the last year we have focused on our people and their expertise to strategically align their talents with our mission. We are determined to provide every employee the tools, education, competitive salary and benefits and visionary leadership from our new management team to help them succeed and grow. We will search for the best and brightest new talent and continue to develop the skills of our current staff. Our primary focus is on opportunities for our employees and solutions for our clients. That is the winning strategy for the future that we intend to embrace.”
