The land where a 41,000-SF Walmart Neighborhood Market will be constructed in Benton County has been officially sold to the retail giant.

In a trio of land deals, Wal-Mart Stores Inc. paid a combined $2.25 million for approximately six acres at the intersection of Arkansas Highway 102 and Greenhouse Road in Centerton.

A 3.78-acre tract at 1804 E. Centerton Blvd. was bought for $1.3 million. The seller was The Eichenlaub Joint Revocable Trust.

A 1.42-acre tract at 1800 W. Highway 102 was bought for $430,000. The seller was Farrer Corp.

A 0.90-acre tract was bought at 1808 E. Centerton Blvd. was bought for $525,000. The sellers were Darryl and Pamela Graham.

The project was announced in September and the store should open next fall.
