Mercy Holds Grand Opening at $13 Million Campus in Bella Vista
Officials from Mercy Northwest Arkansas held a grand opening event Dec. 12 at a new 32,950-SF facility in Benton County.
Mercy Bella Vista officially opened Dec. 9, according to a news release. The $13 million multispecialty service facility includes four Mercy physicians specializing in family and internal medicine, pediatrics and cardiology, as well as four Mercy advanced practitioner nurses.
Mercy Bella Vista will offer residents comprehensive health care through hybrid model and cross between a hospital and a clinic.
Construction of the building began in September 2012 and the development is located on what is now known as the Shewmaker Family Campus, at the corner of Dartmoor Drive and Lambeth Road just off U.S. Highway 71.
The distinction is in honor of the late Jack Shewmaker — retired Wal-Mart Stores Inc. executive and philanthropist — and his family, who made a $1.5 million donation for the project.
Mercy Northwest Arkansas is comprised of a 200-bed hospital in Rogers an outpatient surgery center in Bentonville and 30 clinics in Bella Vista, Bentonville, Centerton, Rogers and Lowell.
