A speechwriter and director of executive communications at Walmart is on the move.
Sarah Williams, an executive with the company since June 2011, was announced recently as the chief communications officer for Minnesota-based 3M Co., effective Jan. 1.
Williams wrote speeches for the chancellor of the University of California-Davis before being hired by Walmart, and before that was a speechwriter for California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger from 2008 to 2010.
We’re not entirely certain what 3M does, but we’re certain someone with a resume that includes the Terminator and the top Fortune 500 company will be a great choice as an effective communicator.
