Bentonville Brownstones
Is downtown Bentonville ready for high-dollar townhomes? Kathleen Motherall believes so.
Motherall, an executive with Wal-Mart Stores Inc., is developing five zero lot line townhomes at 210 S.E. A Street, one block south of Tusk & Trotter restaurant.
Motherall, who bought the 1,300-SF home on the property in December for $170,000, has full support from the city for the high-end project, but needs to get two of the proposed five brownstone-style townhomes sold before being allowed to break ground.
The largest of the five properties — four bedrooms and 2,356-SF — is being marketed for $589,000.
Another unit with three bedrooms and 1,846-SF is listed at $461,500.
Arvest Bank is financing the project, Meza Harris of Lindsey & Associates has the listings and John Mayer of Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney Faucette will also be a player.
It will be interesting to see if there’s really a market for a project like this.
