Baptist Health Looking To Conway For Expansion
Baptist Health announced plans on Wednesday to build a medical center in Conway.
According to a news release, Baptist has purchased around 37 acres for a medical center along the west side of Interstate 40 near exit 126 in Conway.
“Baptist Health and a dedicated team of local physicians will bring to the community of Conway and surrounding areas an innovative and cooperative approach to providing the highest standards of clinical quality, a fully-staffed emergency room and a proven track record of long-term commitment to supporting Arkansas communities,” President and CEO Russ Harrington said.
The proposed 200,000-square-foot hospital is expected to provide 100 beds, seven operating rooms, and a Level III trauma-center emergency room.
The two-year construction project, scheduled to open in 2016, is also expected to generate approximately 250 jobs.
