Arvest Bank Celebrates Grand Opening of Fayetteville Branch
Arvest Bank celebrated the grand opening of its new Fayetteville branch with a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 29, doubling the size of the branch it replaced.
The 6,562-SF branch at 2389 N. College Ave. replaces the bank building at 1947 N. College Ave.
It was designed by Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson Architects of Fayetteville. The building includes eight teller stations, expanded safety deposit boxes and five drive-thru lanes.
CDI Contractors was the construction company on the project. Grey Rock, HSA Engineers and Engineering Consultants Inc. were the engineering firms.
“This new building provides the space our customers and associates needed for one of the busiest branches in our area,” Donny Story, president of Arvest Bank in Fayetteville, said in a company news release. “Although we appreciate the history associated with the former location, we simply outgrew it.”
The previous branch opened as a McIlroy Bank in 1962 and featured the first drive-thru banking window in Fayetteville. It was renovated in 1994 and expanded to 3,150-SF. Arvest Bank acquired McIlroy Bank in 1986.
