Waco Title Completes Missouri Acquisition

Waco Title Co. of Springdale recently completed its acquisition of Joplin, Mo.-based The Title Place.
Waco Title president and CEO Patrick Curry said the transaction was closed Oct. 4 and the first day of official Waco ownership was Oct. 5.
Curry said the company’s newest acquisition will be rebranded as a Waco Title Co. as the firm begins consolidating its branch locations in Missouri under the Waco brand name.
Waco’s family of companies also includes Missouri-based firms Lincoln Land Title Co. and McDonald County Title Co. and Escrow.
The Title Place was incorporated in Carthage, Mo., in 1903 as Jasper County Title Co. The company has 25 employees in three southwest Missouri locations — Joplin, Mount Vernon and Carthage.
The addition marks Waco Title’s sixth acquisition in the last eight years, but the first in four years.
Waco Title, which is owned by Bentonville-based Arvest Bank Group Inc., now has a footprint that includes 17 locations and approximately 150 employees throughout central Arkansas, Northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri.
