J.B. Hunt announces 15-cent dividend

Lowell-based J.B. Hunt Transport Services announced Tuesday (Oct. 29) a quarterly cash dividend of 15 cents per share of common stock.

The dividend is payable Nov. 29 to shareholders of record on Nov. 15.

Based on shares reported as of July 17, J.B. Hunt LLC will collect more than $2.81 million from the dividend payout.

The company continues to have impressive quarterly reports. For the first nine months of the year, revenue is $3.716 billion, ahead of the $3.321 billion in the same period of 2011. Net income for the first nine months reached $226.377 million, up almost 23% compared to the 2011 period.

Shares of J.B. Hunt (NASDAQ: JBHT) were trading late Tuesday at $74.69, up 34 cents. During the past 52 weeks, the share price has ranged from a $78.39 high to a $55.61 low.
