Bullard to Speak at QBA Luncheon
James Bullard, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, will be the guest speaker at the next Quarterly Business Analysis luncheon, the University of Arkansas announced Thursday.
The luncheons are a partnership between the UA’s Center for Business and Economic Research and the Northwest Arkansas chambers of commerce.
The program is scheduled November 21 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. The event includes business highlights from the previous quarter, key economic trends and projections, and discussion of other issues facing the regional and state economy.
Bullard will discuss recent economic trends from his view at the Federal Reserve, and as a member of the Federal Open Market Committee, providing additional perspectives to regular and first-time attendees.
“Hosting such a distinguished economic policymaker at our regular luncheon event is another way that the Center for Business and Economic Research brings good information to the leaders of Northwest Arkansas and provide them with up-to-date data and trends,” economist Kathy Deck, CBER director, said in a news release.
Bullard became president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in 2008.
The cost for the program and luncheon is $40 and pre-registration by November 18 is required.
