Advent Day of Recollection: Sheltering the Seed of Hope
Sheltering the Seed of Hope
December 5, 2013
9:30 a.m.
The beautiful season of Advent can, at times, become the lost season of the liturgical year. The excitement of holiday preparations, the anticipation of gift-giving and reuniting with family members can be both a joy and a distraction in this season of light and life. So let us pause in the midst of our Christmas preparations and take a long, deep look at the spirituality of the season. We will gather in a small retreat community to shelter the seed of hope in our own hearts and in the larger global community. We will wait in a womb of our own lives for the seed of Christ to hollow out our darkness with life and light. Lunch will be served.
