UA Fundraising Tops $108M in Fiscal 2013
Private donations to the University of Arkansas ticked up slightly during the most recent fiscal year as fundraising totals topped the $100 million mark for the third year in a row.
The UA said recently it took in $108.4 million in private donations during the fiscal year that ended June 30. That is up from the $108.1 million received in 2012.
The university raised $121.3 million in 2011.
The amounts include outright cash gifts, gifts-in-kind, planned gifts and new pledges.
Of the $108.4 million, 25 percent – or $27 million – was earmarked for athletics and the Razorback Foundation, the private fundraising entity of the UA’s athletic department.
Approximately $18 million of the total amount raised, or 16.9 percent, was allocated for endowed funds.
Of this year’s donations, 28 percent came from individuals, while 37 percent came from corporations, 28 percent came from foundations and 7 percent came from other organizations.
