The Northwest Arkansas Human Resources Association (NOARK) will host an inaugural managers conference, “The Building Blocks of Leadership and Management,” on September 12 at Holiday Inn Northwest Arkansas in Springdale.

The conference is designed for all levels of management, and sessions will drive the development of leadership skills to help maintain a competitive advantage, according to Sara Staley, branch manager of Staffmark in Bentonville who serves as NOARK’s public relations chair.

“We have seen that there is a large need for small businesses to get involved in leadership development to help provide them the tools they need,” Staley said. “Large employers have internal leadership departments and seminars and can provide employees resources that small- to medium-sized businesses don’t have the resources for.

“This conference gives those businesses a cost-effective way to have access to some of the same resources that are really invaluable for the individuals who attend, and for the companies they work for.”

The conference is being advertised for all levels of management, including supervisors, team leads and administrators.

NOARK has been providing service to the human resources community of Northwest Arkansas since 1971 as a nonprofit organization with membership of more than 300 HR professionals, and more than 155 companies represented.
