TTAGG Joins With Golf Datatech To Develop Online Marketing Tool

Fayetteville-based technology startup TTAGG Inc. — which is now doing business as DataRank — has added the golf industry’s premier consumer research and data tracker as a client.

Golf Datatech LLC of Kissimmee, Fla., recently introduced its own proprietary online marketing tool called BrandTrac, designed to provide insights about brands and products in the golf industry.

The first-of-its-kind tool is powered by DataRank’s own algorithm, which compiles and filters online comments across social networks, blogs, forums, reviews and other sources about a wide range of consumer products.

DataRank then breaks down the data into market research reports, and clients pay a monthly subscription fee for access to the reports.

Company CEO and co-founder Ryan Frazier said the DataRank technology could make BrandTrac a game changer by providing golf marketers unbiased, real-time insight into the minds of golfers.

“The feedback cycle on understanding consumer habits is at the speed of light nowadays,” he said. “That is a cool thing for them.”

Frazier said his company’s next goal is to expand the DataRank technology to several other categories, including CPG.

“As the new name [DataRank] says, it’s collecting online conversations and ranking them in order of the best comments,” he said. “There are millions and millions of mentions online each day with each brand. As the volume of data grows, ranking the best is going to be really important.”
