Political Animals Club Staggering Governor Candidates’ Appearances
Thanks to Rex Nelson, president of the central Arkansas Political Animals Club, for hosting Talk Business’ Roby Brock and Jason Tolbert as part of a panel discussion on the 2014 election cycle. The event took place Wednesday before a sold-out audience at the Governor’s mansion.
Max Brantley from the Arkansas Times, Alice Stewart from 96.5 FM The Voice, Hendrix College political science professor Dr. Jay Barth, and newspaper columnist John Brummett also participated.
Nelson announced a series of upcoming breakfast meetings for the Political Animals Club group that will include most of the 2014 gubernatorial candidates. Here are the details:
July 23 – Asa Hutchinson (R)
August 8 – Curtis Coleman (R)
August 16 – Mike Ross (D)
August 20 – Debra Hobbs (R)
Nelson said candidate Bill Halter has not been confirmed for a date yet.
All meetings will be held at the Little Rock Club on the 30th floor of the Regions Building in downtown Little Rock. Admission is $20 at the door and breakfast will be served.
