National Dog Day donations at Alma Library
National Dog Day is celebrated annually on August 26th to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year. The Day also acknowledges the place dogs have in our society, such as family dogs, working dogs, and service dogs that work selflessly each day to save lives, keep us safe, and bring comfort. The Alma Public Library will be accepting donations for a local animal shelter from August 26th to August 30th. Suggested donations are dog/cat food, household trash bags, and paper towels. The Library is open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. For more information, please call 479-632-4140.
