Murphy USA Board Named, Madison Murphy To Chair
Murphy Oil Corp. announced that 10 directors will serve on the board of its soon-to-be spin-off Murphy USA board of directors.
Former Murphy Oil Corp. chairman of the board Madison Murphy will serve as the new company’s board chairman.
The spin-off company, which includes Murphy Oil’s refining and retail business, is expected to close later this year.
Other board members for Murphy USA include:
- Andrew Clyde, who will serve as President and CEO of Murphy USA Inc.
- Claiborne Deming, former CEO of Murphy Oil and Chairman of the Board of Murphy Oil Corp.
- Thomas M. Gattle, Jr., who has served as Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Terral RiverService, Inc. since 1992. Terral RiverService is a private company that operates fertilizer product terminals, boats and barges on the lower Mississippi River and its connected inland waterways.
- Robert A. Hermes, who has been a director of Murphy Oil Corp. since 1999.
- Fred Holliger, who was Chairman and CEO of Giant Industries, a petroleum refining and retail convenience store company from 2005 until 2007 when it was merged with Western Refining Co.
- The Reverend Dr. Christoph Keller, III, who has been a director of Deltic Timber Corp. since 1996.
- James W. Keyes, current Chairman and CEO of Wild Oats LLC. He was CEO of 7-Eleven Inc. from 2000 to 2005 and Chairman and CEO of Blockbuster from 2007 to 2011.
- Diane N. Landen is owner and President of Vantage Communications, Inc. where she has over 20 years of experience in investment management, communications, and broadcast property ownership. She also serves as Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President of Noalmark Broadcasting Corp., which owns and operates radio stations in multiple markets in Arkansas and New Mexico.
- Jack T. Taylor, a director of Sempra Energy since February 2013. He was the Chief Operating Officer-Americas and Executive Vice Chair of U.S. Operations for KPMG LLP from 2005 to 2010.
