The Oohs and Aahs of Photo Manipulation
The oohs & aahs of Photo Manipulation
Center For Art & Education
Opening reception June 7 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Exhibition dates: June 7-28
The Main Gallery features the work of Deborah Griffin. Deborah is a visual storyteller. She combines images from her collection of late 19th and early 20th century tintypes, daguerreotypes, and vintage postcards with her own photographs of local farm life and rural country landscapes. She incorporates one of the oldest artist materials (encaustics) with the most recent (digital collage), creating an image –story that hopefully resonates with those places of soul and history in everyone. Studio gallery will feature David Mann with his black and white images of rural churches and Dan Snow’s work that portrays the passage of time and the healing process after tragedies in life.
