Feeding Hope at the Rodeo

On Thursday, May 30, 40/29 (KHBS/KHOG-TV), The Arkansas CW and Old Fort Days Rodeo are offering a $2 discount to rodeo attendees who donate non-perishable food items at the television stations’ tent. Nonperishable food donations are requested and all will stay in the Fort Smith River Valley, benefiting The River Valley Regional Food Bank.

People who donate will also be entered to win his-and-her boots from Atwoods, a rodeo bag from Tip Top Western Wear and dinner at Golden Corral.

Suggestion food items include canned meals ready to eat, such as ravioli, beef stew, chicken and dumplings, tuna fish and chili; hamburger helper, macaroni and cheese and other similar types of boxed meal preparations;items that make a meal like peanut butter and jelly, pancake mix and syrup, spaghetti sauce and pasta, beans and rice; and, canned vegetables.
