Bentonville’s Chick-fil-A store shows no signs of relinquishing its No. 1 ranking — in terms of revenue — among the city’s restaurants.

That’s per the 1 percent hotel-motel-restaurant tax collected by the Bentonville Advertising & Promotion Commission. Data from the commission is used to calculate revenue for restaurants in Bentonville.

Chick-fil-A’s lone location in Bentonville had sales of about $780,000 through the first three months of 2013, which is about $20,000 more than through the same period last year. It’s also about $150,000 more than second-place Panera Bread Co. has through the first three months of 2013.

Chick-fil-A’s performance continues a trend set last year, when its $2.85 million in sales was up slightly more than 1 percent over 2011. Panera, meanwhile, enjoyed a jump of more than 24 percent from 2012 over 2011, but still finished well behind Chick-fil-A at $2.32 million in sales.

The McDonald’s store on South Walton Boulevard ($550,000), Shogun Steakhouse of Japan, and Zaxby’s Restaurant and Buffalo Wild Wings Grill ($530,000) round out the top five through the first three months of this year.

Eurest Dining, the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. home office cafeteria, is intentionally excluded from the ranking. Also excluded are Sam’s Club and Walmart Supercenter Deli.

The only newcomer to the top 10 through March 2013 is Sushi House. The Japanese restaurant on Southeast Moberly Lane had revenue of about $480,000, up about 20 percent from 2012.
