Spicy Sale in Bentonville
The $2 million sale of a popular Bentonville restaurant earlier this month caught our attention.
B&K Investments Bentonville LLC sold the Buffalo Wild Wings on Moberly Lane — the state’s first BWW location when it opened in May 2005 — to Wingbacks Properties LLC.
BWW regularly ranks among Bentonville’s top 10 restaurants in terms of revenue generated, and pulled in $1.76 million in 2012, according to Bentonville Advertising & Promotion Commission data, ranking ninth among the city’s eateries.
Also notable was the signature on the warranty deed representing B&K. It was that of Blake Evans.
Evans, you might know, has been dealing with challenges associated with inherited family business that has included ANB Financial NA, Decatur State Bank and L&L Farms Inc. Evans, along with John Bliss, also was one of the original partners of B&K, which paid David Covington $740,000 in early 2005 for the land where BWW now sits.
James D. Bruno, a Florida resident and franchisee of a BWW location in Marco Island, is the new franchisee of the Bentonville location.
