Honeymoons Over for Pumphreys?

Serial embezzler Jeri Pumphrey, aka Jeri Qedan, aka Jeri Freshwater, formerly of Fayetteville and now of Riverside, Calif., is in hot water again.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest because she has not paid court-ordered restitution to the former employers she stole from, according to the Fourth Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office in Fayetteville.

Pumphrey twice has served time in state prison, earning early release in both instances for good behavior. She was released in July after serving one year of a 10-year sentence — with 30 years suspended — for stealing $60,000 from Tontitown-based firm The Right Solutions.

She’d previously served nine months of a 20-year sentence, with 18 years suspended, for stealing $74,000 from Complete Inc. of Springdale.

As Whispers told you in November, Pumphrey married former Ozark Regional Transit executive director Phil Pumphrey, who was transferred to California by the company that operates ORT. Under an Interstate Compact Agreement, Jeri Pumphrey must remain in contact with a locally assigned parole office.
