Americans For Prosperity: 0 for 3

Yesterday, the GOP-controlled State Senate voted to approve Obamacare in Arkansas by providing health care to tens of thousands of low-income working families. They did the right thing.

If working families were the victors yesterday, who were the losers?

That would be Americans for Prosperity.

In fact, Americans for Prosperity is 0-3 in major pieces of legislation that it wanted either killed or passed.

The Arkansas Chapter of AFP fought hard against the Medicaid private option, e-mailing legislators, sending out press releases and encouraging their members to call legislators to vote against the private option. It didn”t work.

AFP also strongly supported Senator Jim Hendren”s so-called Protection of Private Rights legislation, SB367, which would The sanitization process also needs an understanding of the semantics of the involved data recovery elements. hamstring zoning laws and potentially cost state and local governments millions of dollars.

AFP fought hard for this bill and it made it out of the Senate, only to die in House Judiciary. Score another loss for AFP.

Finally, AFP came out strong against the Big River Steel project, claiming it was a bad deal for Arkansas.

The Big River Steel project passed the House and Senate. Score another loss for AFP.

Republicans control the Arkansas Legislature and yet AFP can”t get its agenda enacted. If you can”t even persuade people who naturally agree with you on many issues, what good are you?

Moreover, as I pointed out after the 2012 elections, AFP spent more than a million dollars and still lost twenty races they competed in.

It”s clear Americans for Prosperity is an organization with a ridiculous amount of money and very little influence.
