Whispers hears Lean Green Gourmet, a natural-foods home-delivery service based in Fayetteville, has hired GW Chew of Something Better Foods LLC as its head chef.
Chew and his wife, Tina, previously owned the vegan restaurant Something Better in the Evelyn Hills Shopping Center.
The Chews opened Something Better in December 2011. Sources tell us they closed when GW Chew’s ministerial duties with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the couple’s new baby left little time for running the restaurant.
LGG owner Judy Paynesmith opened her business in February 2010. In a message on LGG’s Facebook page, Paynesmith wrote that a menu incorporating Chew’s seasoning blends, sauces and plant-based meat substitutes will debut in the first week of April.
