Bigger Buffington on the Horizon

If you’re part of the daily flood of traffic at Joyce Boulevard and Highway 265 in Fayetteville, you might’ve wondered what’s going on at the space near there formerly occupied by Red Door Living.

Liberty Bank of Arkansas has been trying to find a new owner for the 10,000-SF space, and has done so in Buffington Homes of Arkansas. Buffington’s Clay Carlton told Whispers the homebuilder is remodeling the building “inside and out,” and hopes to move in sometime in April or May.

It’s quite an upgrade for Buffington, which currently occupies space of about 1,500 SF in Fayetteville. Carlton said the company will use about 7,000 SF of the new building and rent the remaining 3,000.

Buffington currently is active in six subdivisions, Carlton said, ranging geographically from Horsebend Estates in Fayetteville and Waterford Estates in Goshen to The Hamptons in Rogers and Central Park in Bentonville.
