Disappearing Ground

Master Naturalist Denis Dean will present a family orientated program. He will discuss how the limestone bedrock in the Ozarks is constantly being dissolved by acidic water formed in the limestone by rain. This session will focus on the underground habitat of Northern Arkansas, formation of caves and disappearing rivers. Attend at The Janet Huckabee Arkansas River Valley Nature Center.
