Brunen, Hinds Named to NWACC Cabinet
Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville recently announced the appointments of staff members Meredith Brunen and Steven Hinds as interim Cabinet members.
Brunen is the executive director of the NWACC Foundation. Hinds is the executive director of public relations and marketing.
Their additions are related to the departure of former Cabinet member Wyley Elliott, vice president for public relations and development, who recently resigned.
Brunen’s primary Cabinet duties, according to a news release, are to lead the efforts to complete the $3 million renovation campaign for the Melba Shewmaker Southern Region National Child Protection Training Center.
Hinds, the school’s primary spokesman, will now serve as liaison between NWACC and its internal and external constituencies, and lead the presidential transition process.
Becky Paneitz, NWACC’s president since 2003, will retire in June. Evelyn Jorgenson will begin her tenure July 1, and Brunen and Hinds will remain in their interim Cabinet roles as part of the transition process.
