Mosaic Templars Cultural Center Celebrates Black History Month
Little Rock — Mosaic Templars Cultural Center (MTCC) is excited to announce its calendar of events in celebration of Black History Month. Throughout the month of February, MTCC will host a variety of events that celebrate the legacy, heritage and contributions of African Americans to Arkansas and throughout the world.
All events are free and open to the public.
Speak Now! Poetry Series
Feb. 2nd, 6 p.m.
A celebration of creativity and self-expression hosted in partnership with local poetry troupe FOREIGN TONGUES, this second installment in the popular series will feature nationally-renowned poet and activist Sunni Patterson, who has been a featured performer at many of the nation's premier spoken word venues; including HBO's Def Poetry Jam and BET’s Lyric Café. The growing event includes performances by poets from the Little Rock School District and boasts an expected crowd of over 200 excited young poets and spoken word enthusiasts.
